“ This place has the BEST roasted pork /siew yuk and char siew in town but usually available after 10 while roasted chicken and duck available when the shop is opened. ”
“ Sun Ming is very famous at Taman Connaught area and it is super crowded almost every afternoon, if you are lucky you get a table, if not you can share table with other customers too. Tips: choose some friendly looking people share the table, you don't want to feel pressure all time while eating char siew. I must say the char siew is really good almost melt in my mouth and the duck is really good too. Usually the duck is more dry but Sun Ming's duck is not dry at all! perfect combo with the duck sauce. The soup is good too, I usually order the peanut soup but I think they have different menu on rotation daily. I just wish they can increase the portion! then it would be perfect. ”
“ Many people from Cheras think Sun Ming has the best roast pork in the area. I'm one of them. The char siu here is AMAZING - it's a perfect blend of sweet and salty with a sticky glaze that goes so well with the rice. The siu yoke too is so good - good crispy skin and tender meat. I remember having the roast duck which wasn't as good as the pork - it was a bit tough and too gamey when I went. The restaurant itself looks like a regular Chinese coffee shop. It gets pretty busy at lunchtime but you have no choice but to brave it. But go early (before 2pm at least) to make sure you don't get the last of the pork scraps. ”
“ What is good? Everything! Never underestimate the popularity, the crowd normally goes on till 3-4pm during the weekend. Its Siu Yuk, roasted duck, roasted chicken and Char Siew are so so so so delicious. The meat is roasted to perfection. So chewy and the proportion of fats-to-meat is well balanced. The roasted skin is so crispy and its meat is tender and juicy. Nothing can make your tummy as happy as Sun Ming (sounds a bit too exaggerating). I often request to have less sauce on my dish so that I can taste the meat better. It is not a super clean restaurant. Sometimes, in peak hour, they won't get to clean the table before another customer occupies the table. Give a gentle reminder and they will do it straightaway. Overall, taste wise, it is an A+ restaurant. ”
